Fittingly, a bar and msuic venue sited at the crossroads of the two Underbanks, is styled simply Underbank. Conceived by the couple behind Heaton Moor's Nook - Des and Nina O’Malley, this ambitious project will eventually see all three floors and the roof space of the building used. The ground floor of what was once an RBS Bank branch is the bar; it promises local beers from the likes of Pomona Island, and Runaway. The rest of the venue will host DJs playing their taste in music through a high-spec sound system. Food will vary as they plan to rotate cuisines and chefs to add colour and character to the offering. There is roof-level access too from the Market Place.
