Demolished c.1/7/2000, site is now housing. Closed 1/5/2000. Planning Application 059632/FO/SOUTH1/00 | Residential development comprising a 4 storey block of 25no. apartments with 28no. car parking spaces after demolition of existing public house. Approved 21/8/2000.
History: Former Hardy's Crown Brewery, then Bass house. Sited on a short stub section of Fog Lane between Kingsway and Burnage Ln, it had a period in the 1970s as Woosters under the Toby Inns banner. Opening Times magazine June 2000 reported closure. Demolished as per Opening Times magazine Sept 2000.
