Converted 5/12/2011 to be a Turkish restaurant, Istanbul Grill. Closed 1/9/2011. No planning application found for change of use. History: the Weavers had a chequered past being at one time a Mr Q's pool fun-pub (a Tetley / Allied Breweries pub theme). Prior to that it was called Carpe Diem, and from c.1993-1997 it was styled as Cheadle Cafe Bar. Pub-wise, it ended its days as a large open-plan bar, and being set on a corner site, it featured a curved bar. For the last few years it sold only keg beers.
