Was a friendly welcoming two-room house which started offering cask real ale in late 2014 following many years of selling just keg beers. Uptake had been so successful, that a second beer was being considered. It was popular with local CAMRA members too, who enjoyed a 10% discount. Easily accessible using public transport via Gorton rail station (two mins walk) or bus 7 (or high-frequency 219 along Ashton Old Rd). The large beer garden included a covered smoking area.
