A good choice of beers from smaller breweries can be found on the many handpulls occupying the bar, all of these are free of tie. Four handpulls are located on the main bar, while another number are on the bar sited in the right hand room. Of these, one will normally be serving Draught Bass. Four neatly decorated rooms radiate from the congested bar: to he left, two compact snugs; behind the bar, a large lounge with a feature overmantle mirror, which most regulars regard as the best room in the pub; finally, to the right is an overspill room with plenty of standing space. There is a large yard, and attractive outdoor seating area to the rear in the shadow of the iconic, 1838-built railway viaduct.
