Converted 1/5/2025 to restaurant use. Closed 1/1/2025. Planning Application 141276/FO/2024 Creation of restaurant (Class E) to first floor, erection of a single storey side extension, elevational alterations and creation of roof terrace with associated balustrade. Approved 9/5/2025. History: Privately owned, and was run by experienced licensee Susan Haselden. Latterly, the Bridge Inn only opened for Manchester City home games, but here and there were additional evening openings for darts match nights. Although no cask beer was sold, a warm, welcoming atmosphere awaited those to this pleasant canal-side setting. Run-down interior at one time, with keg-only Tetley and Boddington beers on offer. The next-door mammoth sports complex that was constructed in 2015 should have provided a lifeline for this hardy survivor, but sadly, no.
