Crown, Heaton Lane — Closing (For a while)

The Crown on Heaton Lane is closing shortly for a change of management.

Though this is sad news, there is a silver lining. The reason? The new tenants are none other than Alan and Chris Gent of the award-winning Petersgate Tap, who will be running the Crown as a second operation.

Impact on Mild Magic

Due to the imminent short changeover closure (to allow the Gents to put their stamp on the place) there is currently a limited real ale range available and there is no mild being stocked.

Should the Crown re-open before the conclusion of Mild Magic there may be one available, but consider it to no longer be on Mild Magic.

For anyone who has already collected a sticker — it will still be honored.

For everyone else — the total number of Mild Magic pubs has been reduced to 101.
