The Crown on Heaton Lane is closed for a change of management. Though this is sad news, there is a silver lining. The reason? The new tenants are none other than Alan and Chris Gent of the award-winning Petersgate Tap, who will be running the Crown as a second operation.

Eccles Cross, Regent Street — Closed (For a while)

Wetherspoon's management has informed us that the Eccles Cross was closing for a short time to allow a bit of tender care to be lavished on the premises.
